The Asterisk software includes many features available in proprietary PBX systems: voice mail, conference calling, interactive voice response (phone menus), and automatic call distribution.
We use an optimised Voyage linux foundation on which we installed and polished Asterisk 1.6.1 and AsteriskGUI2.0. This provides the user with a ready to use IPT/voip appliance without the pain of installing modules et cetera.
